Ashley F. of Amelia Court House, Virginia, rides her motorcycle across the state to see the sights, but also across town to grab groceries. She just loves to ride. Here, she shares her photos, stories, and even her route map (thank you Ashley!) with Twisted Road.
How long have you been riding, which bikes have you owned, and how did you become interested in riding?
I bought a new Harley Street Bob in 2012 and rode it for a few years before trading it for a Night Train. My only vehicle at one point was my Street Bob. Getting groceries on a bike was quite the experience!
What moto trips have you taken (long or short). Where did you go, stay, and explore? Tell us some highlights.
All of my trips were day trips, mostly to the mountains. The Nellysford area is one of my favorite places, and I would usually jump on Skyline Drive at some point.
What hobbies do you enjoy when you're not riding?
Hiking, fishing, and kayaking.
What do you enjoy about being part of the Twisted Road community?
Meeting great people and experiencing different types of bikes!
What are your favorite biker-friendly places around your hometown?
I am generally a lone rider, so I don’t have many hangouts.
What are your favorite rides near your hometown?
The Nickel and Dime Drive out to Jamestown and routes 33 and 29 to the mountains.
What location is on your moto trip bucket list?
It’s been a minute since I’ve ridden regularly, so I need to start building that list again.
