In 2018, I bought a Sena SF2 Bluetooth system so I could listen to music while riding. Although it was a great idea at the time, I’ve struggled to find the perfect playlist.
You see, some tunes are great to listen to while riding along the PCH in California, while others are better in the Smokies along the Blue Ridge Parkway. Trust me—”Hotel California” just doesn’t sound as good when riding the Texas Hill Country as “Ramblin’ Man”.
Before considering location-specific riding song lists, I really needed a good all-purpose motorcycle playlist that I could listen to on weekend rides and commutes—a list of motorcycle songs to make the miles go easy and make me even more glad to be cruising through the States on two wheels.
Ever since that realization, I’ve been on a mission. I’m preparing a handful of playlists that can be used while riding and decided to start with a Best American Road Trip Motorcycle Playlist—which you can find below. Stay tuned for more motorcycle music lists for different regions of our country.
So put on your helmet, connect your Bluetooth, and listen to our selection of motorcycle music that you’ll love when riding your (own or rented) motorcycle. You’re welcome.
Sidenote: I spent three hours preparing this list of motorcycle songs, and when it was complete, I couldn’t wait to ride. So I took my own advice, connected my Bluetooth, and hit the road. Let me tell you: it was pure riding pleasure.
Upcoming lists will include:
- California Cruisin’
- Mountain Moto Music
- Midwestern Melodies
- Southern Songs for Southbound Ride-Alongs
